Apple has recently officially acknowledged that a subset of iPhone 18 Pro Max units, utilized by AT&T subscribers across the United States, are encountering significant cellular network connectivity disruptions. The affected devices may abruptly lose mobile network access, rendering them incapable of making phone calls, sending or receiving text messages, or utilizing cellular data services. In certain instances, these devices persistently display an "SOS" status indicator. Apple has clarified that in scenarios where a device experiences a complete loss of cellular service due to this issue, attempting to rectify the problem through system updates or carrier configuration adjustments will prove futile, and the only viable solution is to replace the entire device. Presently, Apple has rolled out the iOS 27.0.1 software update alongside a carrier settings update to mitigate the further proliferation of this issue and strongly advises users to promptly install these updates.
