On October 3, according to Bloomberg, Apple stated that a "small number" of AT&T users who recently upgraded to the iPhone 18 Pro Max have lost cellular service due to a malfunction. An Apple spokesperson declared that a fault affecting a minority of iPhone 18 Pro Max users on the AT&T network has been identified, which may result in the device showing 'no service' and being unable to make calls. In response, Apple has released a carrier settings update and a new iOS version 27.0.1 to curb the spread of the issue. The carrier settings fix will automatically download for AT&T users within 14 days, but Apple still recommends that users install available software updates immediately.
