Recently, NVIDIA has made notable adjustments to its Shield TV product lineup. It has discontinued the standard version and raised the price of the Shield TV Pro in the U.S. market from $199.99 to $299.99, marking a substantial $100 increase. NVIDIA explained that this price hike is mainly attributed to the significant cost escalations of various components, including DRAM, in recent times. At present, the standard version has been completely sold out across multiple retail channels, whereas the Pro version is still up for sale. NVIDIA has not clearly indicated whether it will permanently discontinue the base version. However, market analysts speculate that this adjustment might be linked to shifts in the company's product strategy.
