Such problems are far from rare; numerous users, particularly the elderly, frequently find their screens inundated with pop-ups, disrupting the normal use of their phones. A significant number of these illegal pop-ups stem from the misuse of Quick App technology, featuring hidden or fake close buttons that deceive users into clicking unintentionally. Despite the existence of regulations and age-friendly standards governing pop-up ads, the substantial revenue generated from traffic monetization and the relatively minor fines for violations make the cost of engaging in illegal activities significantly lower than the potential gains. Moreover, the concealed mechanisms triggering pop-ups complicate the process of gathering regulatory evidence, enabling pop-up ads to persist despite repeated prohibitions. Experts recommend imposing higher fines and enhancing complaint channels. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has also released documents to regulate the redirect behavior of App information windows.
