Recently, an RTX 5090 user publicly shared email records with PNY's after-sales department. The user claimed that their graphics card was damaged due to the melting of the 16-pin power connector, but PNY denied the warranty claim. PNY stated that the reason for rejecting the warranty was that the user did not use the PNY-certified power cable or adapter included in the graphics card packaging, instead opting for the 12VHPWR/12V-2x6 power cable provided by the power supply unit manufacturer.
