On September 21, Google announced the launch of a new laptop category, Googlebook, with a starting price of $899, entering the high-end laptop market. The device comes with a complimentary 12-month subscription to Google AI Pro, which includes 5TB of cloud storage and access to the Gemini Advanced tool, as well as trial privileges for services like YouTube Premium and Adobe Photoshop. The first five models are manufactured by Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo, with pre-sales starting immediately and availability in the U.S. from October 4, followed by launches in Canada, the UK, and other regions.
