On September 18, market research firm Omdia released its latest report, revealing that in the second quarter of 2026, the global shipments of true wireless stereo (TWS) headsets witnessed a 0.7% year-on-year decline, reaching a total of 82.1 million units. This downturn marked the inaugural year-on-year decrease since the second quarter of 2023. Notably, the Chinese market bore the brunt, with shipments plummeting by 9.5% year-on-year, exerting a drag on the global market. In terms of vendor standings, Apple maintained its leading position, shipping 16.8 million units and securing a 20.5% market share. Xiaomi followed in second place with a 10.4% market share, while Samsung claimed the third spot with a 6.7% share. Huawei and OPPO rounded out the top five, holding 6.2% and 5.0% shares, respectively.
