At the 2026 vivo Developer Conference, vivo officially introduced its latest iteration of the operating system, OriginOS 7. This new system marks a significant leap from application-specific intelligence to a holistic, system-wide personalized intelligence, with a primary goal of thoroughly enhancing the overall user system experience. Regarding the AI experience, OriginOS 7 has undergone enhancements across three key domains: information, tasks, and well-being. It introduces a suite of practical new features, including screenshot recognition, photo album sorting, file categorization, input method suggestions, innovative functions within the Atomic Wallet, meeting assistants, AI-powered calendars, and health and weight management tools.

From a design standpoint, the system embraces a philosophy centered around light and shadow aesthetics. It refines iconography and main screen lighting effects, while also upgrading dynamic elements and visual feedback to extend dynamic lighting effects to the interaction level. For personalized lock screens, OriginOS 7 offers new features such as business-themed designs, flashcard games, and sticker functionalities.

Smooth performance remains a cornerstone of this upgrade, with the system undergoing a comprehensive revamp in three critical areas: silky-smooth operation, natural comfort, and enduring smoothness. To achieve silky-smooth performance, a variety of dynamic effects have been incorporated, enabling interruptible first-frame animations. In terms of natural comfort, the Atomic Workspace has been introduced, facilitating seamless multitasking through advancements in computing, storage, and display technologies. For enduring smoothness, the aging benchmark has been set at six years, accompanied by simultaneous enhancements to the BlueRiver Smooth Engine. These improvements boost response times, application launch speeds, and memory recycling efficiency, while also optimizing storage compression and virtual graphics card performance. The upgrade to OriginOS 7 represents a significant step forward in system-level personalized intelligence and underlying smooth performance capabilities.
