At the 2026 MediaTek Dimensity flagship product launch event, Shi Yujian, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of vivo, announced that the vivo X500 Pro series smartphones will make their global debut on September 21, equipped with the Dimensity 9600 Pro flagship chip. The architectural design concept of this chip was first proposed by vivo and jointly developed with MediaTek over a period of three years. Additionally, vivo and MediaTek have engaged in deep collaboration in the imaging field, jointly defining the Blue Crystal chip technology stack and introducing five joint imaging technologies.
