In the first half of 2026, China's smart glasses market achieved remarkable growth, with total sales volume across all channels hitting 909,000 units and sales revenue reaching RMB 1.88 billion. These figures represent significant year-on-year increases of 85.5% and 98.7%, respectively. Notably, AR glasses have emerged as the main catalyst for this market expansion. In contrast, audio glasses and camera glasses saw a downturn in sales during July. The AR glasses market has now crystallized into two primary segments: one is the lightweight, everyday AI HUD (Head-Up Display) variety, aimed at the general consumer base. These glasses emphasize lifestyle applications and are priced between RMB 2,000 and 3,000. The other segment comprises AR glasses designed for giant-screen viewing and spatial computing, offering high-end immersive experiences. However, these premium glasses currently account for less than 30% of the market share. At present, the potential for daily high-frequency use among ordinary consumers remains largely untapped, and the broader public's understanding of the product's value is still limited. This gap may pose a challenge to the industry's efforts to broaden its user base further.
