The General Office of the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government has recently unveiled the 15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Guangzhou's Marine Economy. This plan advocates for the integrated growth of the "marine + low-altitude aerospace" sectors. It encourages the widespread utilization of drones in various fields such as marine surveillance, logistics, cultural tourism, and emergency rescue. Moreover, the plan places a significant emphasis on broadening the industrial chain for offshore commercial space launch, recovery, and related areas.

Furthermore, by harnessing the interconnectedness of low-Earth orbit satellite constellations, the plan aims to foster the development of technical services including marine communications, precise ship navigation, and deep-sea environmental monitoring. In addition, the plan underscores the importance of focused research and development of innovative materials, such as heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings and magnesium alloy surface anti-corrosion conductive coatings. This is to establish a robust material supply system for deep-sea exploration and polar expeditions, and to facilitate the extensive adoption of these advanced materials in offshore wind power installations, cross-sea bridges, large vessels, and deep-sea aquaculture equipment.
