Guangdong PISEN Electronics Co., Ltd. has announced a recall for two of its power bank models, namely the TP-D114 and TP-D133, after discovering defects in their battery cells, protective circuits, and manufacturing processes. These flaws could potentially cause the power banks to overheat, swell, or even catch fire under extreme circumstances. The recall is set to commence on September 8. However, the official PISEN flagship store has assured customers that the products currently on sale are not part of this recall. Furthermore, the mandatory national standard (GB 47372-2026), which was published on April 3, 2026, will officially take effect on April 1, 2027. Consumers are advised to verify if a product adheres to the new national standard by checking its implementation standard, unique code, and recommended safe service life.
