Microsoft plans to release the Windows 11 2026 Update, also known as the 26H2 version, between late September and early October this year. Unlike previous annual feature updates, which included a large number of new features and significant underlying changes, the 26H2 version will be relatively 'uneventful.' The focus will not be on a major system overhaul but rather on continuing the existing code branch and enabling pre-positioned features in a lighter manner, thereby reducing compatibility risks and enhancing system stability.
