According to a multitude of leaks, Apple’s upcoming next-generation MacBook Pro is set to be split into two distinct product lines: a standard version that maintains the existing chassis design, and a newly crafted OLED touchscreen iteration. The standard model is anticipated to carry on with its current aesthetic, focusing mainly on an upgrade to the M6 chip, while preserving features such as the mini LED display, ProMotion technology support, the 6-speaker audio system, and the current array of ports. On the other hand, the touchscreen variant will boast an OLED display with touch functionality, potentially incorporating the innovative ‘Dynamic Island’ design and doing away with the notch. It will be powered by M6 Pro/M6 Max chips, sport a slimmer profile, and might even include cellular connectivity options. Reports indicate that the new MacBook Pro is projected to hit the market by late 2026, with its release scheduled after that of the iPhone 18 Pro.
