The Dutch electronics brand Fairphone has officially launched its modular smartphone, the Fairphone 6+, representing its inaugural entry into the U.S. market. Priced at $649, the device is compatible with T-Mobile and AT&T networks. The phone operates on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 platform, boasting 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card. It features a 6.31-inch 120Hz OLED display, a triple-camera setup, and a removable 4415mAh battery. Running on pre-installed Android 16, the Fairphone 6+ offers a commitment to longevity with 7 years of software updates and a 5-year warranty. Notably, over 50% of the phone's components are crafted from ethically sourced or recycled materials, resulting in a low carbon footprint of just 30kg CO2e. The phone is available in three attractive colors: Forest Green, Horizon Black, and Cobalt Blue.
