On August 13th, news emerged that the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) have jointly issued a pivotal international standard: Information Technology - Data Utilization in Smart Cities - Part 1: Framework. Spearheaded by Chinese experts serving as project leaders, this standard was developed through collaborative efforts with specialists from 11 nations, including South Korea, Canada, and Japan. It marks yet another significant milestone for China in the realm of international smart city standardization, offering a comprehensive, top-tier framework to foster global consensus on data utilization within smart city ecosystems.
