On August 10, Boeing announced that it had signed a definitive agreement with Archer Aviation to sell its subsidiaries Wisk Aero, SkyGrid, and Insitu to the latter. This transaction aims to integrate the complementary capabilities of both parties in autonomous flight, electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicle systems, creating an end-to-end physical AI platform in the aerospace and defense sectors. As part of the transaction, Boeing will acquire a stake in Archer and reach a cooperation and technology-sharing agreement.
