On August 9 (local time), tech journalist Mark Gurman disclosed in an article that Apple is contemplating a significant transformation of its Apple Watch lineup, in a bid to keep pace with the prevailing trend in the smart wearable sector towards screen-less devices and innovative form factors. He mentioned that for more than a year, Apple's industrial design team has been delving into redesign possibilities for the Apple Watch, encompassing screen-less gadgets, varied screen dimensions, and other unique designs. Presently, Apple has yet to finalize a concrete plan but is in the process of assessing designs like devices without displays, various screen types, and round-faced watches. Simultaneously, the company is also considering the introduction of high-end models as well as products priced below the Apple Watch SE. Moreover, Apple aims to fuel growth in its wearable device segment by enhancing artificial intelligence and health functionalities.
