After several delays, the upgraded Siri AI made its official debut in the iOS 27 consumer beta released in July. This AI assistant fulfills Apple's promises: it not only accurately understands users' personal contexts and retrieves information stored on iPhones but also accesses a global knowledge base to answer a wide range of questions. Built on next-generation Apple Intelligence and new Apple Foundation Models, Siri AI offers more natural conversational abilities, personal context understanding, extensive world knowledge, screen content awareness, and deep system-level application control. On iPhones, Siri AI also introduces a new visual interaction experience integrated with the Dynamic Island, along with a standalone Siri app for users to review conversation histories. Additionally, visual intelligence has been incorporated into Siri, including a Siri mode in the Camera app and optimized camera controls.
