Based on a report from South Korean tech news outlet ZDNet Korea, which cited information from the well-known tech leaker Ice Universe, Samsung is set to implement a novel in-house lens production technique for its upcoming flagship device, the Galaxy S27 Ultra. This move is aimed at minimizing the rear camera's protrusion and addressing glare problems that often occur during night-time photography. To achieve this, Samsung Electronics, in collaboration with its lens component supplier Samsung Electro-Mechanics, intends to substitute conventional photoresist films with a specially developed matte black inkjet coating. This adaptation not only aligns with industry trends but also showcases Samsung's commitment to innovation and enhancing user experience in smartphone photography.
