A Samsung executive has officially confirmed the existence of the Galaxy S26 FE and subtly indicated that it is slated for release within this year. As the launch date draws near, more and more technical details about this device are coming to light. According to the latest intel, its camera system is likely to carry forward the configuration from the previous generation. Specifically, the main camera will feature a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL S5KGN3 sensor, complete with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) support. For the telephoto lens, an 8-megapixel OmniVision OV08A1 sensor will be used, offering 3x optical zoom and also supporting OIS. The ultra-wide and front-facing cameras will sport 12-megapixel sensors, namely the GalaxyCore GC12A2 and Sony IMX825, respectively. When it comes to video recording, this device will support 4K resolution at a smooth 60fps.

In terms of core specs, the Galaxy S26 FE will be powered by the Exynos 2500 chip, which is built on a cutting-edge 3nm process. It will come with 8GB of RAM and boast a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, featuring a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. To keep the device running, there will be a sizable 4900mAh battery on board, which supports 45W wired fast charging for quick top-ups. Additionally, the device might adopt a dual-supplier strategy for its OLED panels, sourcing from both BOE and CSOT. It will also offer IP68 dust and water resistance, ensuring durability in various environments. On the software front, it will come pre-installed with Android 17. The release is anticipated in September 2026, with the 128GB version priced at €799 in Europe.
