On July 28, Bloomberg reported that after being a long-time follower in the smart home market, Apple is now preparing to make a major push by launching a series of brand-new hardware and software products. According to sources familiar with the matter, Apple will first introduce a home hub device centered around its new Siri artificial intelligence assistant. The device features a 7-inch square display, runs on a newly developed operating system based on tvOS, and supports functions such as FaceTime video calls and home security monitoring. Additionally, Apple also plans to release a new Apple TV set-top box and an upgraded HomePod mini. These two products are expected to be launched this fall, while the home hub device will be released between October this year and early next year.
