Previously, the National Radio and Television Administration had introduced the 'Convenient TV Watching' certification program. This initiative was aimed at simplifying TV operations and enhancing the overall user experience, particularly for the elderly. To earn this certification, TV products must incorporate features such as 'live TV upon startup' and 'one-click access to live TV', along with compatibility with universal remote control operations. At present, manufacturers like Huawei and Konka have embraced this standard, with some of their smart TV models successfully passing the certification. This move ensures a more user-friendly and convenient TV-watching experience for elderly viewers.
