This marked the steepest single-quarter fall in nearly three years. The primary driver behind this downturn was the escalating costs of memory components, which subsequently pushed up phone prices and eroded the purchasing power of the general consumer base. Additionally, several other factors contributed to the suppressed market demand, including the depreciation of the rupee, inflationary pressures, consumers' anticipation of festive promotions, and lackluster summer retail sales. As a result, manufacturers adopted a cautious approach when it came to restocking their channels. In terms of the market landscape, vivo, Samsung, OPPO, Xiaomi, and Apple emerged as the top five players, with Xiaomi experiencing a boost from the market performance of its 15A and 15C models.
