Upon booting up, the Windows 11 system already occupies 4.2GB of RAM. With just a handful of applications open, memory usage quickly surpasses the halfway mark, resulting in a notable decline in system responsiveness. During light multitasking scenarios, memory usage stays consistently high, with common tasks like Teams video calls frequently experiencing lag. Although Microsoft's official purchasing guide categorizes 8GB as suitable for basic use, real-world experience suggests that 8GB of RAM falls short of user expectations, with 16GB or more proving to be a far safer and more reliable option.
