On July 15, Samsung Electronics announced on Wednesday the launch of 'Flex Titanium,' a titanium-based display technology for its next-generation Galaxy foldable phones. This technology reduces the visibility of creases on folding screens, enhances screen durability, and makes the devices thinner, lighter, and more energy-efficient. The technology will debut in Samsung's eighth-generation foldable smartphones, set to be unveiled in London on July 22. Flex Titanium integrates Samsung's seven generations of R&D experience in foldable devices with advancements in display materials and precision mechanical engineering. It replaces the polymer film beneath the OLED panel with a titanium alloy film, paired with an upgraded titanium alloy plate, creating a dual structure that balances strength and flexibility.
