On July 14, 2026, it was reported that South Korea's LG Electronics signed a memorandum of understanding with GS Engineering & Construction (GS E&C) on July 10 to jointly develop next-generation AI home solutions. LG Electronics will integrate its AI home hub device, 'ThinQ ON,' with GS E&C's apartment platform to build a more interconnected smart home ecosystem, covering individual households and entire residential complexes, enabling linked control of lighting, heating, and other services, as well as elevator calls and parking inquiries.
