On July 10, news broke that Nubia is set to launch the world’s first AI agent smartphone at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference on July 17. Ni Fei, President of ZTE’s Terminal Business Division and CEO of Nubia Technology Co., Ltd., shared an early preview in a post. He emphasized that this smartphone will transcend the current paradigm of AI phones, which merely pile on features, by achieving seamless, system-level AI integration. This integration will empower the phone to proactively grasp user needs, autonomously carry out tasks across different applications, and minimize the effort required from users. Tailored to cater to all user groups, the phone is equipped with four fundamental capabilities: comprehension, task execution, memory retention, and security.
