The global PC market has witnessed its inaugural downturn following nine successive quarters of expansion. However, Apple Mac has defied the odds, achieving remarkable growth in both shipments and market share. Data from a research firm reveals that in the second quarter of 2026, global PC shipments plummeted by 4.9% year-on-year, amounting to roughly 68.2 million units, thereby halting the growth trajectory that had persisted since 2024.
