Recently, Reuters reported that Tata Electronics—a key supplier for Apple in India—experienced a major cybersecurity breach. Over 204,000 documents, totaling more than 630GB, were stolen and subsequently listed for sale on the dark web. The compromised data includes intricate design schematics for the iPhone 18 Pro, a comprehensive list of suppliers for its core components, technical specifications of Apple’s proprietary chips, as well as sensitive information belonging to other Tata Electronics clients, including Tesla. In response, Apple and Tata Electronics have initiated investigations and strengthened security protocols, while the Indian government has also intervened to probe the incident.
