According to Bloomberg's report, Apple is gearing up to launch a fresh iteration of its Mac Studio desktop computers in 2026. This new lineup will mark the debut of the M5 Ultra chip, which will stand as the flagship model within the M5 series. Following this introduction, Apple intends to progressively upgrade to cutting-edge chip platforms, namely the M6 and M7. The M5 Ultra chip is engineered by integrating two M5 Max chips through UltraFusion technology, resulting in a powerhouse with a 36-core CPU and an 80-core GPU. It delivers an impressive 120 trillion operations per second (TOPS) of AI computing capability and supports a substantial memory configuration, including up to 256GB of unified memory and a spacious 16TB of SSD storage. Initially slated for release in the first half of 2026, the launch of this model has been delayed until October, primarily due to shortages in memory chip supply. The premium version of this Mac Studio is anticipated to carry a price tag exceeding RMB 89,999.
