According to the latest updates from Asian supply chains, Apple’s first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Ultra, is now expected to launch in early 2027, rather than the originally scheduled autumn of 2026. This news follows remarks from two major supply chain partners, including the CEO of Largan Precision, who recently indicated that, due to "factors related to production scheduling," a new Apple device might not arrive until "early next year." It is widely believed that this device is the iPhone Ultra. The primary reasons for this delay are engineering and supply chain challenges, particularly difficulties with the hinge design and the application of surface-mount technology.
