On May 26, Tencent officially rolled out the public beta for its Mac App Store, a move that allows Android applications and mobile games to operate natively on Mac devices, eliminating the need for screen mirroring. Additionally, it facilitates the uploading and execution of EXE files, thereby dismantling the application ecosystem barriers that have long confined Mac devices. Leveraging a proprietary cross-platform engine, this iteration boasts support for 4K high-definition resolution, refresh rates of up to 120 frames per second, and millisecond-level responsiveness for keyboard and mouse inputs, all of which combine to deliver an interactive experience that feels truly native. It also incorporates features like small window snapping and multi-window split-screen functionality. At present, the public beta is exclusively available for Mac devices powered by Apple Silicon (M-series) chips. It's worth noting that certain PC games impose additional device configuration requirements, and efforts are ongoing to enhance compatibility with a select range of niche software and games.
