On May 25th (Beijing Time), Mark Gurman, a renowned Apple correspondent for Bloomberg, reported that this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will serve as Tim Cook’s swan song as Apple’s CEO. Following the event, Cook will transition to the role of executive chairman and step back from delivering keynote speeches.
John Ternus is slated to assume the CEO position on September 1st. As his inaugural move, Ternus reportedly plans to unveil a foldable iPhone at Apple’s autumn event. Furthermore, iOS 27 is rumored to introduce support for alternative streaming protocols, such as Google Cast, enabling users to set these as their default casting options. This shift is likely a response to the EU’s Digital Markets Act and may initially apply only to users within the European Union.
