The Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Commerce has announced the introduction of a subsidy initiative in 2026 aimed at encouraging the purchase of innovative smart home products (encompassing age-friendly home items) and other intelligent devices. The subsidy will apply to a wide range of smart home goods, including smart beds (complete with mattresses), age-friendly assistive aids (such as electric wheelchairs and exoskeletons), among others. Additionally, it will extend to other smart products like smart displays (including projectors), robotic vacuum cleaners (inclusive of floor scrubbers), digital cameras (action cameras included), and smart toilets (with toilet seats), etc. Under this program, individual consumers purchasing qualifying products will be eligible for a subsidy amounting to 15% of the final sales price, after accounting for all applicable discounts. The subsidy is restricted to one per product category per consumer, with the maximum subsidy per item set at 1,500 yuan.
