As the 2026 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2026) is set to open on June 9, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman has revealed new details about iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, with the most notable being a standalone Siri app. Similar to chatbots like ChatGPT and Claude, this app will serve as a one-stop portal for users to handle tasks. The new version of Siri will feature a brand-new conversational interface, supporting both text and voice input, and allowing users to upload files for interaction. It can also recognize on-screen content, perform cross-app operations, and support multi-step continuous commands. Additionally, the new Siri will introduce an auto-delete chat history feature, allowing users to set how long conversations are retained to protect privacy. The new Siri is expected to debut in beta form at WWDC 2026 and will be rolled out alongside the official release of iOS 27.
