Apple Inc. has agreed to pay $250 million to settle a class-action lawsuit. The lawsuit accused Apple of false advertising and unfair competition in connection with the launch of the iPhone 16, alleging that the highly touted personalized Siri features failed to launch as promised. In June 2024, Apple showcased an intelligent Siri version powered by Apple Intelligence technology at its WWDC conference, and widely promoted it through advertisements and videos upon the release of the iPhone 16 in September of the same year. However, in March 2025, Apple announced the delay of Siri's Apple Intelligence features and removed related advertisements, which had already been running for several months.
