According to insights from blogger @Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi has reportedly put a pause on its line of compact foldable smartphones. Notably, Xiaomi had previously introduced the MIX Flip 2, a compact foldable model, in June 2025, boasting a starting price tag of 5,999 yuan. At present, the company is redirecting its attention towards its large foldable smartphone series. A fresh model from this lineup is anticipated to debut in the fourth quarter of this year. It might be dubbed either the MIX Fold 5 or the Xiaomi 18 Fold, and it is expected to feature Xiaomi's in-house developed Xuanjie O3 chip.
