For developers, this presents an opportunity to provide attractive discounts and foster greater long-term user retention. Users will have the convenience of tracking both paid and outstanding installments directly within their App Store account settings. They retain the flexibility to cancel the subscription at any point; however, cancellation entails the obligation to fulfill all 12 scheduled payments. This new functionality is set to debut in May alongside the official launch of iOS 26.5, with compatibility extending to devices running iOS 26.4 and later versions. Notably, the initial rollout will exclude the United States and Singapore.
