Based on reports from Nikkei News and several other sources, Samsung Electronics is set to discontinue its sales operations for home appliances and TVs in the Chinese market by 2026, with a conclusive decision expected as soon as the end of April. Despite this move, Samsung will maintain its local manufacturing facilities in China for home appliances like refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners, which will continue to function as a supply base for overseas markets. The key factors driving this withdrawal from sales operations include a diminished edge in product price competitiveness and the formidable challenges presented by Chinese brands. Samsung Electronics has clarified that it routinely assesses its global business framework and has not yet finalized any pertinent adjustments.
