According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is developing six new product categories, including AI AirPods, smart glasses, pendant devices, smart displays, tabletop robots, and security cameras, aiming to expand its two core areas of wearable devices and smart homes. Among them, AI AirPods are an extension of existing earbuds, while the other five are entirely new products. The smart glasses are expected to be announced by the end of 2026 or early 2027 and hit the market by the end of 2027. The smart display (HomePad) is expected to be released in the fall of 2026. The tabletop robot is planned to be available in 2027, but there is a risk of delay until 2028.
