Apple is gearing up to introduce a new pair of smart glasses, aiming to further solidify its presence in the wearable technology market. Rather than incorporating augmented reality (AR) or independent computing functionalities, this upcoming product is designed to closely resemble Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses. Its emphasis is on everyday wearability and AI-driven features, with a projected release date as soon as 2027. These glasses will come equipped with built-in cameras, microphones, and speakers, enabling voice-activated photo capture, call answering, notification reception, and music playback. Apple is currently experimenting with four acetate frame designs, each available in a range of colors. The key strength of these glasses lies in their seamless integration with the iPhone, leveraging Siri for intelligent interactions, including navigation and visual reminders.
