According to a report from South Korean news outlet The Elec, Apple has inked a deal with Samsung Display. Under this agreement, over the next three years, Samsung Display will be the sole provider of OLED panels for Apple’s foldable iPhones, with no other suppliers to be involved. Apple has agreed to these terms as, currently, no other suppliers are capable of meeting its stringent requirements. Samsung Display is set to kick off mass production in the second quarter of 2026, with an initial batch of around 3 million units. This upcoming foldable iPhone is anticipated to sport a 7.6-inch OLED display, featuring an inward-folding design. It will also incorporate two cutting-edge technologies—LTPO and CoE—to boost display performance and extend battery life.
