Omdia's latest research indicates that in the fourth quarter of 2025, US PC shipments (excluding tablets) will grow by 3% year-on-year to reach 18.2 million units, reversing the previous trend of two consecutive quarters of year-on-year decline. This growth is driven by the peak in Windows 11 commercial replacements, holiday season demand, and manufacturers' advance stockpiling in response to anticipated tightening of memory and storage supply in 2026. For the full year of 2025, US PC shipments will reach 71.5 million units, up 3% year-on-year. However, due to limited supply of memory and storage products, Omdia predicts that US PC shipments will decline by 13% year-on-year to approximately 61.9 million units in 2026, with a possible moderate recovery in 2027.
