According to a report released by Loitu Technology, the total sales volume of headsets across all sales channels in China amounted to 203 million units in 2025, reflecting a 6.9% decrease compared to the previous year. This marks the first decline since 2019, signaling that the market has transitioned into an inventory adjustment phase. Despite the decrease in sales volume, revenue climbed to RMB 45.2 billion, representing a 5.6% year-on-year increase. The average product price also rose to RMB 223, underscoring a notable trend towards consumption upgrading. Specifically, sales of mid- to high-end headsets (priced above RMB 200) increased, while demand for low-end products waned. Although online channels continued to be the main sales route, sales volume experienced a downturn in the latter half of the year. The brand landscape is consolidating, with leading players, particularly smartphone manufacturers, dominating the market. AI-powered headsets have emerged as a new growth sector, with Huawei notably excelling in the mid- to high-end AI headset market. Looking ahead, the report forecasts that sales will further decrease to 198 million units in 2026, marking a 2.2% year-on-year decline.
