Microsoft is set to enhance the taskbar experience in Windows 11 by adopting a Windows 10-esque 'compact taskbar' design, which will empower users to customize the taskbar's size. At present, the taskbar in Windows 11 maintains a static size, and the setting to 'display smaller taskbar buttons' has been found to be non-functional, compelling users to tweak the registry or resort to third-party applications for any modifications. The leader of Microsoft Windows has announced that, in response to user grievances regarding the 'oversized taskbar,' this feature is now under development. Moreover, Microsoft has already acknowledged the reinstatement of the taskbar's draggable capability.
