The key power system for XPENG AEROHT’s X3-F, known as the ‘Land Aircraft Carrier’ flying car, has officially started mass production, with the first units coming off the assembly line at CALB’s Chengdu facility. The CALB-developed flying battery used in this system adheres to aviation-grade safety standards and achieves an impressive energy density of up to 360Wh/kg. It stands out as the first power battery in the industry to successfully pass both automotive regulatory standards and aviation airworthiness dual certifications. Recently, XPENG AEROHT announced the successful batch trial production of five ‘Land Aircraft Carrier’ aircraft at its Guangzhou Huangpu District factory, along with conducting multi-aircraft test flights. Designed with a modular approach, this flying car is well-suited for both everyday commuting and low-altitude travel. Mass production and delivery are slated to begin this year.
