As drone technology gains increasing popularity and the ranks of pilots swell, adherence to flight regulations becomes paramount. Recently, DJI's UTISS Drone Application Technology Training Center released a statement revealing that a case of regulatory violation, specifically involving "violent operation" of an agricultural drone, was uncovered during a routine inspection. Further investigation revealed that in December 2025, operator Zheng unlawfully employed an agricultural drone to hoist individuals uphill within a citrus orchard located in Fengjie County, Chongqing. The operation took place at a height surpassing 10 meters above ground level, presenting substantial safety hazards.

In compliance with pertinent regulations, DJI has revoked Zheng's agricultural drone operation certificate and imposed a one-year prohibition on both flying and examination participation. Additionally, local law enforcement has stepped in, issuing Zheng a warning and a monetary fine.
