The Huifei Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Application Technology Training Center, a branch of DJI Innovation, released a statement revealing that during a routine inspection, it came to light that in December 2025, operator Zheng flouted regulations by employing an agricultural drone to transport personnel uphill at a citrus orchard located in Fengjie, Chongqing. The drone lifted the ground crew to a height exceeding 10 meters above the ground, creating a substantial safety risk.

In line with pertinent regulations and certificate management protocols, the center has decided to revoke Zheng's agricultural drone operator certificate. Moreover, Zheng is barred from reapplying for the certificate within the next year. Furthermore, relevant personnel have been duly notified and reminded of the importance of adhering to safety standards.

As a certification body acknowledged by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, DJI possesses the authority to revoke such certificates when necessary. The pilot in question undertook hazardous operations out of convenience and even shared a video of the incident, which further exacerbated the situation. Consequently, local law enforcement has stepped in, issuing a warning and imposing a fine to address the violation.
