During an internal quality summit, Shan Lianyu, who serves as the General Manager of Xiaomi Group’s Major Appliances Division, underscored the pivotal role of innovation in dictating the growth trajectory of Xiaomi’s major appliance sector, while quality sets the boundaries for its longevity. He stressed that quality management must be an unwavering cornerstone in all decision-making processes. Reflecting on the business’s advancements over the preceding two years, Shan highlighted achievements in full-scale in-house research and development, collaborative quality initiatives, team augmentation, and supply chain refinement. He disclosed that in 2026, Xiaomi is set to onboard top-tier suppliers and phase out those that fail to meet modern standards. Furthermore, Shan outlined three strategic imperatives: fortifying the assessment and oversight framework for emerging technologies, elevating quality control via factory modernization and automation, and restoring consumer confidence in the durability and excellence of Xiaomi’s products.
